We know at the end of a long day that cleaning is not an activity anyone wants to face. We ask our guests to put trash in the trash cans and remove their personal items from the venue. We DO NOT ask for tables or chairs to be moved, trash cans emptied or general cleaning.
We offer and encourage the purchase of the day preceding your event for both decorating and rehearsal. This is purchased at a discounted rate and offers a wonderful advantage to your timeline. Full decorating can take place as well as offering a venue for your rehearsal. When a single day is purchased, there is no opportunity to decorate the day before or pick up supplies the day after. This policy is strictly enforced.
Rehearsals without a purchased date are held on Tuesday or Wednesday with a 30 minute time slot. This appointment can be scheduled at any time and is included in the venue fee.
No. You can use our decorations, your own decorations or a combination of yours and ours. We encourage you to make the venue your unique design. The ceiling draping and lighted, draped back drop can be removed if you so desire.
No, we do not offer security. Should you desire to have a security officer we can help you locate a licensed and insured security officer. We do not allow armed personnel on the property unless they are a designated licensed and insured security officer.
We do not provide tablecloths, but encourage using a rental company as they can provide you with various colors and lengths. Our tables are 60 inch round and the rectangular tables are the standard 4, 6 and 8 foot style. The rental companies will help you determine if you want lap length or floor length sizes and possible additions of table runners and linen napkins. Our couples may find it more cost effective to look at some of the social media Marketplace to purchase used tablecloths from a previous couple.
We know that most couples prefer to have an all adult party, but we are a very family oriented venue and supervised children are always welcome. We are also a working horse farm and have a very strict policy of no children or guests in the pastures or horse barns. Please supervise children at all times.
Urbana has a brand new hotel, Cobblestone Hotel and Suites and a historic house with lodging at Scioto Inn. We are also very close to the hotels in Hilliard, Country Inn and Suites, Hampton Inn and Hawthorne Suites by Wyndham. Marysville is within a short drive as well and has Comfort Inn and Suites, Hampton, Holiday Inn and Super 8. Simon Kenton Inn is 20 minutes to the west of us and provides historic and unique lodging. There are also several Airbnb and VRBO in the area.
Use of the venue is based upon the rental dates and times. Early access is not available for vendors or supply drop off.
